I started this blog at the beginning of the COVID pandemic to help me capture what’s on my mind and to keep my mind healthy. It’s been over a month since my last post, and my mind is suffering from it.
They say to form a new habit you have to practice it every day, so maybe I need to start writing again each day. Writing has been therapeutic for me during COVID, and it’s only now, as I take some time off work due to exhaustion, that I know I need to start again!
Before I started this post I read through everything I have written and its was such a great thing to do. So much has happened over the last seven months and without writing it down, for me anyway, it’s so easy to forget. From the interesting display of consumer behaviour, (who can forget the toilet paper fiasco), to being in some form of lockdown, to heartwarming displays of human kindness, and unfortunately displays of cruelty, it’s definitely been an interesting 2020!
Blogging is a form of self expression and it can result in many positive outcomes and help improve our quality of life. Here are a few of the benefits and the ones that I want to feel again:

- Enhance your feeling of wellbeing
- Reduce symptoms of depression and anxiety
- Improve your memory
- Help achieve goals
- Calming and helps clear the mind
- Enhance self awareness
- Help with letting go of negative thoughts
